Prospects is a quarterly booklet from UNESCO-IBE which features articles from different writers on topics related to Education for HIV/AIDS Prevention. This edition consists of 6 sections namely: Editorial, Viewpoints and Controversies, Open file, Religion and Education for HIV/AIDS Prevention, The voices of youth and Profiles of famous educators. Topics covered in this edition include: Scaling up the response to HIV/AIDS within educational systems, UNESCO versus HIV/AIDS: the history and ten lessons, HIV prevention for adolescents: identified gaps and emerging approaches, etc. This issue of Prospects highlights the voices of advocacy, the concerns, the research findings, the barriers as well as the success stories of education for HIV/AIDS prevention in formal education.
