Sexuality is recognized, variably in sections of civil society, United Nations' institutions, and donor governments to be a central aspect of personhood, which affects all individuals, families, communities and societies. Also recognized are the links with health, reproductive health and rights, livelihood, poverty, HIV and AIDS and other issues.
