This publication is a consolidated report of projects in Malaysia, Nepal and Sri Lanka as implemented by Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP) under the Asia Regional Project - Strategies for Sexual and Reproductive Health of Adolescents and Youth 2000-2003, with the support of UNFPA and in collaboration with IPPF. This project aimed to increase understanding of reproductive and sexual behaviour of adolescents and youth as well as develop viable adolescent sexual and reproductive health programme modalities. Three key strategies were adopted to achieve the above purpose: creating an enabling and supportive environment, youth involvement in the whole process of ARSH programmes, and provision of youth-friendly services.
