This paper looks at the prevalence of early pregnancy and education in Argentina over the timeframe 1995-2020, examining who are the most affected girls and how this event impacts on their education. National legislation and programmes are considered in order to analyse the concrete steps that have been taken to protect pregnant girls' and young mothers' right to education. The research concludes that, despite some progress, young mothers' school completion is still a challenge, and this is generally due to the lack of implementation of laws and policies, childcare services unavailability and prevailing gender and cultural norms in childcare responsibilities.
